Shepherd’s Corner – May 26, 2019

The recent cold and wet weather is very uncharacteristic of our area. Although I’m enjoying not have to endure 90-100 degree weather, it does feel odd doesn’t it? Or some of you may not have even noticed. Some of us are sensitive to the change in circumstances while others are less so. That could be a personality trait, but regardless of our personality let’s be reminded that through the changing of seasons and times our reliable constant is Christ. This is the secret that Paul shares with us from Philippians 4:11-13 “11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Can we be content no matter our circumstances? It’s easier said than done. But if we remember Christ as our constant and that he is the one who strengthens us, then we would have found the secret to be content like Paul. May we find our comfort and our constant in Christ alone. in Him, Rev. Daevid Yoon
