English Ministry of Inland Church

Shepherd’s Corner – March 5, 2017

Today is the first of our monthly communion Sundays.  Communion is one
of the sacraments that is practiced by the Church.  It is something
that was instructed by Jesus for his followers to do in remembrance of
him and until he returns.  It is also a gospel-rich practice that
allows the congregation to be regularly reminded of the price that was
paid for our salvation and the hope that we have of physically
communing with Christ when he returns.  It represents the vertical
communion we can now have with God because of the reconciliation
Christ enabled through the cross.  And it also represents the
horizontal communion we have with one another because Christ has made
us brothers and sisters in him in the church.  I hope that we will be
blessed through this holy sacrament and encouraged by the meaning
behind its practice.

in Him,
Rev. Daevid Yoon
