English Ministry of Inland Church

Shepherd’s Corner – January 22, 2017

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.  This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.” (1 Tim 2:1-3).  So in other words, who is in government does not ever change our daily commitment (and biblical exhortation) to leading peaceful, quiet, godly and dignified lives.  This is our gospel commitment to prayerfully seek
holiness and God’s mercy and justice in humility (Micah 6:8) every day.  And let us remember that regardless of who is in government, Christ is the Lord of lords and King of kings (cf. Rev 17:14)

in Him,
Rev. Daevid Yoon
