It is no small thing when one of our congregation members decides to
pursue ministry and enter seminary. Statistically, there is a drop in
the number of Korean American men attending seminary for pastoral
ministry across the nation. That can result in a shortage of pastoral
servants for God’s church in the future. This week, our brother
Andrew Chang started his graduate studies at Westminster Seminary CA.
I hope that as a congregation we will support him with our prayers and
journey with him as he trains to be equipped in the scriptures for
future gospel ministry. I know that I craved that type of support
when I was in seminary, so I hope that our congregation will be able
to provide that for Andrew. And then in light of that, let’s not
forget the other young men out there training for God’s gospel
ministry (particularly those in our KM too!) and pray that God will
raise up a generation of future pastors that will be faithful to His
gospel and kingdom work.
