English Ministry of Inland Church

Shepherd’s Corner – April 30, 2017

I am thankful for Missionary Karl Dahlfred’s, friendship over the
years.  He was my hallmate at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary
while I was there for my ThM in 2004.  Afterwards, I was able to
reconnect with him ten years later when I went to a 2nd short term
mission trip to Thailand in 2014.  He’s been there teaching at Bangkok
Bible Seminary, helping with the church plant of Grace City Bangkok
(PCA), and translating and editing at OMF’s (Overseas Missionary
Fellowship) publishing branch in Thailand (Kanok Bannasan).  I
particularly like the missions angle of training and equipping natives
to take on the work of gospel ministry.  And Missionary Karl does that
by teaching at the seminary and helping to make great Christian books
accessible to Thai Christians in their own language.  But he also
encourages career missionaries as well.  Bangkok is a growing
metropolitan city and can use more committed Christians to take part
in the churches there and help in the making of more disciples.  I
hope that you will be as encouraged as I am with his love for the
gospel and for the Thai people.

in Him,
Rev. Daevid Yoon
